چکیده

We demonstrate the enhancement of fluorescence emitted from dye molecules coupled with two surface plasmons, i.e., silver nanoparticles (AgNPs)-induced localized plasmons (LSP) and thin (Ag) film supported plasmons. Excitation light is illuminated to a SiO2 layer that contains both rhodamine 110 AgNPs. AgNPs enhances excitation rates in their close proximity due LSP-induced local electromagnetic fields at wavelengths. Moreover, on one which 50 nm-thick Ag coated for metal cladding (air other surface), acts as waveguide core emission The induces couple modes, resulting waveguide-modulated version plasmon (SPCE) different thicknesses reverse Kretschmann configuration. find varying thickness modulates fluorescent signal SPCE, its modulation behavior being agreement theoretical simulation dependent properties resonance. This enables optimization engineering structure signals. combination LSP enhanced SPCE may offer chances enhancing signals highly sensitive assay biomedical chemical substances.

Radioactivity-synchronized fluorescence enhancement using a radionuclide fluorescence-quenched dye.

We demonstrate the first evidence of radioactivity-synchronized fluorescence quenching of a near-infrared light-emitting dye by a radionuclide, (64)Cu, and subsequent fluorescence enhancement upon (64)Cu decay to the daughter isotopes (64)Ni and (64)Zn. The dynamic switch from high radioactivity and low fluorescence to low radioactivity and high fluorescence is potentially useful for developing...

Surface-enhanced fluorescence from silver fractallike nanostructures decorated with silver nanoparticles.

Fluorescence emission of fluorophore molecules in the close vicinity of a nanostructured metal surface can be enhanced through a local electromagnetic field with the help of surface plasmon resonance. The fluorescence enhancement effect is very sensitive to the topography and dielectric property of the metal substrate. In the current work, metal substrates with complex structures, which are mad...

Near-Infrared Fluorescence Enhancement Using Silver Island Films

Near-infrared (near-IR) excitation produces little background signal from biological molecules, making nearIR fluorescence technology highly useful in proteomic and genomic applications. To increase the emissions of near-IR fluorophores, we examined the use of metal-enhanced fluorescence on these longer wavelength dyes. IRDye700and IRDye800-labeled DNA oligonucleotides and proteins were spotted...

Silver nanostructures synthesis via optically induced electrochemical deposition

We present a new digitally controlled, optically induced electrochemical deposition (OED) method for fabricating silver nanostructures. Projected light patterns were used to induce an electrochemical reaction in a specialized sandwich-like microfluidic device composed of one indium tin oxide (ITO) glass electrode and an optically sensitive-layer-covered ITO electrode. Silver polyhedral nanopart...
